Origin Acoustics announced its new Boundaryless Listening Experience with Natural Depth Sound (BLENDS) invisible speakers and subwoofer will be presented at CEDIA 2024 (Booth #2133). As the curator of the "Design Centric Technology" concept, Origin Acoustics continues to create innovative product solutions that blend into any environment while enhancing lifestyle and entertainment experiences. The BLENDS series of invisible speakers take the original NXT/Amina technology to a whole new level.

Originally introduced at CEDIA Expo 2023 as the result of the collaboration between Origin Acoustics and UK manufacturer Amina Technologies (also known as Amina Sound), the BLENDS panels surprised the integration and installation industry for the quality of the results it demonstrated in a fully featured  home theater, where all speakers and subwoofers where seamlessly integrated into the walls.

Origin and Amina had worked together to develop a flexible, easy-to-install, and full-sounding invisible speaker based on the same concept that Amina had been promoting for many years. Having worked successfully with Amina to distribute the company's products in the North American market over a couple of years, Origin extended the partnership to create a totally new product concept that would be effective based on its vast experience of the installation market. Basically, taking the patented Amina technology to create an original series of panels  that focused on the audible results.

The new Origin BLENDS invisible loudspeaker series, which will be now officially promoted at CEDIA Expo 2024 is a unique sound solution in installations where the integrity of the room aesthetic cannot be compromised. The BLENDS series is flexible, easy to install, and delivers room-filling sound, rivaling any other visible speaker options in terms of fidelity.

There are now three BLENDS speaker models that can be installed in walls or ceilings – an 8" 3-way speaker, an 8" 2-way speaker, and a 6" 2-way speaker with larger tapered edge panels that install direct-to-stud ready for pre-filling, taping and filling. The speakers share the same back box, making pre-wire and upgrades a breeze. A direct-to-stud in-wall slot-ported subwoofer complements the speakers by delivering powerful bass that seamlessly blends into the interior design of any home with concealed ports that allow truly discrete installations.

The Origin BLENDS invisible speaker line is also the first-ever to feature a 60-minute UL fire-rated product in 8 ohm for demanding commercial and residential installs, as well as perfectly sized magnetic shims that attach to standard rear enclosures.

"As custom integrators lean more into lighting, we see an opportunity to use our Design Centric Technology focus to develop more products that make their lives easier. Wide dispersion invisible speakers are the perfect solution to add to any lighting project — visually and acoustically — as they offer greater flexibility in installations than traditional architectural speakers," says Nick Berry CEO of Origin Acoustics.

The Origin Acoustics team is responsible for product inventions, and category innovations such as the first in-wall speaker, first aimable in-ceiling speaker, and first toolless speaker installation system. Pushing the limits of technology, materials, and go-to-market strategy, in addition to manufacturing the most advanced and impressive array of architectural loudspeakers, Origin is promoting Design Centric Technology solutions through strategic partnerships with other manufacturers and brands.

The Origin Acoustic BLENDS invisible speaker series are expected to start shipping Q1 2025.
