Continuing Lavoce’s successful Next Generation design approach and incorporating their patented Integral Input Surface (IIS) phase plug technology, all three models have a 110W AES power handling and exhibit a very low distortion characteristic with a linear frequency trend to 20kHz, complementing the existing and proven DN14.300T and DN14.30TK Next Generation models.
The new DF14.300T uses a ferrite magnet and employs the same patented IIS phase plug design and titanium diaphragm assembly used on their popular neodymium magnet DN14.300T, but with a slightly lower 107.5dB sensitivity. Together with a 1200Hz recommended crossover point, the DF14.300T is an obvious choice for higher power systems requiring a competitively priced solution with no compromise on performance.
The DN14.300TK compression driver enhances the top-of the range neodymium 1.4" exit offering from Lavoce by adding a titanium diaphragm with a polyimide surround version as alternative to their successful one-piece titanium diaphragm version DN14.300T. The DN14.300TK also has a 109dB sensitivity and its hybrid diaphragm assembly combination allows for a lower resonance device, being more controlled at lower frequency especially around the crossover point, aiding performance and the simplification of passive crossover designs.
Finally, the new DN14.301T is a one-piece titanium diaphragm and surround version of their hybrid diaphragm model, DN14.30TK, again offering two different diaphragm configurations and performance flavors for this platform. Both drivers have a 108dB sensitivity and a compact 120mm diameter for space limited high-quality two or three-way systems and line arrays.
"We now have six really excellent next generation 1.4" exit compression drivers in our range, which are attracting an immense amount of attention from our OEM customer heartland. Each driver emphasizes the uniqueness of our premium proposition - Italian R&D excellence and state-of-the-art production near Shanghai – and are the result of our management’s commitment to continuously invest in new technologies and the optimization of manufacturing processes," comments International Sale Director, Kevin Shove.
