Professional loudspeaker transducer company Lavoce Italiana have been keeping busy working on the development of a new series of impressive devices, steeping up on the performance metrics and features from previous lines. Lavoce has now announced its Next Generation neodymium 1.4" throat compression driver, the DN14.300T. A new driver that combines consistency with top performance and basically puts Lavoce on the map as a serious supplier in this category of HF units.

Carefully following Lavoce’s Next Generation design approach and incorporating their patented Integral Input Surface phase plug technology, the new DN14.300T has been created to compete at the premium-end of the 1.4 exit compression driver category, offering manufacturers and developers of professional audio solutions a high flux density neodymium driver with evident low distortion and a very linear frequency trend to 20kHz.

Featuring a one-piece titanium diaphragm and surround with 3" edgewound copper-clad aluminum voice coil, the DN14.300T has a 110W AES power rating and 109dB sensitivity. With a conservative 1200Hz recommended crossover point, net weight of 2.1kg, diameter of 130mm and a shallow depth of just 51mm, the DN14.300T is described by Lavoce as "a truly versatile device for a wide range of premium high performance install or touring applications."

"We are thankful to say that we are experiencing increased output from our new compression driver production line, and this is very much down to the innovative design approach our R&D team have developed for our next generation range of HF products, so we are very proud to have the DN14.300T setting the standard for even more exciting large format solutions next year," says Pierpaolo DeMinicis, Pro Audio Division Manager.

Lavoce Italiana designs and manufactures HF and LF transducers for professional audio and MI applications. Its Italian R&D Center is based in Potenza Picena, Macerata, and all products are manufactured at their wholly owned and modern production facility in Jiashan, China.
