April 26 2023, 03:10
Promoted by the High End Society in parallel with the Munich High End Show 2023 - May 18 to May 21, 2023 - the IPS - International Parts + Supply - is a new initiative focused on the supply side of the audio industry. Happening for the second time, the 2023 edition will benefit from an extended cooperation with the Audio & Loudspeaker Technologies International (ALTI) Association, which will promote a schedule of conferences and will host a B2B meeting area.

In 2022, the IPS – International Parts + Supply supplier trade show had its successful premiere and the initiative now continues to grow. Intended as a B2B expansion to the successful Munich High End Show, IPS 2023 will take place during all four days of the show, from May 18 to 21, at the MOC Event Center Messe München. The initiative perfectly complements the international audio show and already received enthusiastic support from a significant number of companies and OEMs, which will use the opportunity to directly engage with both exhibitors and visitors to the annual Munich event - the largest of its kind focused on high-end and home audio.

The IPS offers an ideal environment for an international trade audience looking to find partners, establish new contacts and conduct business directly at the venue. Trade visitors from all over the globe will benefit from the opportunities available at the event, while all High End exhibitors can benefit from a dedicated area to engage directly with suppliers companies in order to improve their supply chains and find new business partners.

Already confirmed as exhibitors and participants for IPS 2023 are a multitude of companies from a wide variety of areas, offering all types of solutions required for developing, designing and manufacturing audio products. From high-quality electronic components to loudspeaker systems, audio amplifiers, audio processing solutions, all the way to cabinet and packaging solutions, the event will showcase a comprehensive range of products and solutions.

Confirmed for this year's event are a number of companies, many of which have participated in the first edition. Listed names include Audes, Audiopraise, Composite Sound, Danville Signal Processing, Dongguan City Yinyi Sound Equipment, Dr. Kurt Müller, essues Technologies, Glass Acoustic Innovations, Highend Alufaktur, Intercept Technology, JTC Akustic, Kartesian, Luoding Mingjia Building Materials, Mundorf, Purifi Audio, StreamUnlimited Engineering, TCG Handels, TW Electronics, WBT-Industrie, Weiss Engineering, Yung International and more.

IPS and ALTI Association – A Perfect Match
At the High End 2023 show and the accompanying IPS – International Parts + Supply trade show, audio industry experts can also look forward to find the first ALTI Pavilion + Conference, presented by the High End Society Service GmbH in cooperation with ALTI Association. The cooperation will bring together a number of audio and acoustic specialists, suppliers and manufacturers, in a central location in Hall 1 of the MOC.

In cooperation with the ALTI, the High End Society prepared an extremely interesting program of talks and presentations that expands and enhances the IPS activities for all visitors. These informative highlights will focus on innovations in the audio industry, with presentation from leading companies such as Analog Devices, Dinaburg Technology, Kartesian, Loudsoft and many more.

In the confirmed scheduled of presentations, we can find Matt Windmill from Analog Devices discussing the future of Hearable technology, French loudspeaker manufacturer Kartesian Acoustic presenting its latest developments, Michael Trolle, VibrAkustik discussing Listen's latest Perceptual Rub & Buzz Measurements for production line use, or Peter Larsen from Loudsoft revealing its latest improvements to FINESuspension, FINEBox and FINE DSP, while also promoting a separate presentation to showcase how these software tools can be used to optimize the special Coplanar Concentric Stabilizer (C2S) loudspeaker topology from Dinaburg, so that it achieves more advantages than other known technology in the right environment.

And also discussing the C2S technology used in loudspeaker design, Roger Shively, the co-founder and principal of JJR Acoustics, will present how COMSOL modeling work was used to demonstrate the potential uses and benefits of this innovative topology. Also on the loudspeaker development front, Joachim Schwender from Ferrotec will discuss Ferrofluids applications, while Mark Beach of Beach Dynamics, will present the OEM opportunities available through licensing of the innovative 180° Bay Radial Speaker (BRS). Complementing the prevention of this transducer from BAYZ Audio, Dr. Arpad Forberger will detail the design and simulation work used to fully characterize this latest radial tweeter using COMSOL Multiphysics.

Finally, Martin Turesson, from Composite Sound will present the latest possibilities to engineer Thin-ply Carbon Diaphragm (TPCD) speaker cones to control undesired resonances.

ALTI Association was founded under the name ALMA in 1961 by members of the loudspeaker engineering specialty segment in support of American loudspeaker manufacturers. The mission has expanded and evolved over time to become a global association, and the name was then changed to ALTI to widen the focus to include products and technologies that surround the loudspeaker industry and the whole audio signal chain. This led to the name change in 2019 to ALTI, Audio and Loudspeaker Technologies International, a name that more closely reflects the times and mission of the ALTI Association.

The IPS perfectly complements the Munich High End, which has developed into the largest international hi-fi show and enjoys tremendous significance and global popularity within the audio industry. The first ALTI Pavilion + Conference will significantly contribute to the international expansion of this dedicated B2B area, where ALTI Association will also host a meeting zone for its members and will host startups and consultancy firms active in the audio industry supply chain.
