Complementing the already extensive series of online webinars and available education resources, informing about HEAD acoustics latest developments, the company is now promoting "Day of Acoustics," a series of six free extended seminars focusing on sound and vibration analysis as well as optimizing speech and audio quality in vehicles. All seminars are offered in German and English language.
The first week within Days of Acoustics offered an overview of the company's measurement methodology, including:
- Advanced analysis - The better FFT
- Determine sound power with ArtemiS SUITE
- Sound source localization - improved workflow for advanced analysis and documentation
- Soundscape - a holistic approach to the acoustic environment
Those presentations, oriented by Till Papenfus, Thilo Leitmann, Philipp Stade, and Frederik Gast, are now available for viewing on-demand.
This will be followed November 12 with a session focused on vehicle audio, demonstrating easy and efficient ways to do simulation, measurements and analysis. The sessions are presented by Bernd Philippen, Daniel Riemann and Dominik Bauer, Matthias Wegerhoff, and Bernd Philippen.
November 19, Jacob Soendergaard will talk about “Head unit tests in vehicle R&D”. Topics include:
- Head Unit: One basis for all communication.
- HEAD acoustics: One platform for all tests
- Speech recognition in vehicles: Automated tests including driving noise simulation - VoCAS & 3PASS
- In-car communication (ICC), hands-free communication, eCall and audio / hi-fi: A2B bus, interfacing, analysis and more.
Finally, the series concludes December 03 with a presentation on "New tools for collecting your measurement data"
Topics will be presented by Thilo Leitmann and Till Papenfus, and include:

- Next generation of binaural recording
- HEAD Companion – Your free tool for handling HDF files
