Fluent.ai Expands Leadership Team to Support Rising Demand for Voice-Enabled Solutions

Fluent.ai, a Canadian company specializing in integrated speech recognition solutions, announced the appointment of Charles Gauvin to Vice President of Product and Engineering, and Peter Robinson to Head of Corporate Business Development – North America. The two hires are part of the company’s larger growth strategy to aggressively expand new business opportunities, heighten product development and expand into new territories.
 

Charles Gauvin joins Fluent.ai from Automobile En Direct where he was the Vice President of Operations. He brings a strong background in product management and engineering in the technology sector, having worked in both start-ups and scale-ups. As Vice President of Product and Engineering, he will lead all technical product functions for the company, while assessing and meeting the overwhelming customer demand for Fluent.ai’s edge AI speech recognition solutions. As part of the larger growth of the company, this role aims to develop the company’s delivery organization to ensure it is equipped with the skills, processes and infrastructure that’s necessary to scale.

Fluent.ai also welcomed Peter Robinson, an experienced and dynamic sales leader, to Head of Corporate Business Development for North America. An engineer at heart, Robinson comes to Fluent.ai with a strong understanding of the needs of electronics original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), which he will be targeting to scale Fluent.ai’s solutions within the North American market. He joins with over a decade of history in enterprise sales across a variety of technology solutions and will conduct his work out of Silicon Valley.

These hires are part of the company’s larger plans to scale product development and expand new business territory. Most recently, the company partnered with BSH, a leading European manufacturer of connected home devices, to bring voice automation to its factories. This is yet another example of the company’s moves to penetrate different markets and showcase themselves as the leading provider of offline, noise robust and multilingual, multi-accent embedded speech recognition for manufacturers of connected home appliances, wearable and hearable devices and more.
