The government-sponsored association was legally established in 1983, with the aim to both service and promote the audio industry in China and around the world, and serve as an advisory entity. In recent years, CAIA has reinforced its efforts to promote industry events in China and attract the presence of foreign companies, while it also seeks to establish strategic partnerships to allow its industry to be properly represented around the world.
The headquarters of the association are located at the Zhangjiang High-Tech Park in Shanghai, and CAIA also has offices in Beijing and Guangzhou. As one of the earliest established cross-functional industry associations and state-sponsored official legal entities of its kind, CAIA is registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Central Social Work Department. CAIA currently represents more than 400 member companies in more than 20 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions, establishing a solid foundation for China’s audio industry.

The 2025 Global Audio Summit will be promoted under the theme of "Hearing the Future, AI+Audio,” intended to project the direction for audio innovations and draw a new blueprint for the development of the audio industry. The CAIA Global Audio Summit is also supported by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization and organized by Shanghai intex Exhibition Co.,Ltd.
Two high-profile keynotes, industry roundtable leader discussions, and six featured sessions will cover in-depth currently trending topics such as Smart Car Audio, AI+Audio, Smart Headphones & Wearables, Chips & Electroacoustic Components, Hearing Healthcare and Assistive Devices, as well as Sound & Music Technology.

The association conducts a comprehensive evaluation of the applications. Those accepted will receive a formal invitation letter. Please contact:
