AuviTran Integrates Merging’s ZMAN AoIP Module Into New Interface Card

France-based audio manufacturer AuviTran has adopted Merging Technologies’ ZMAN audio networking module into its brand-new AxC-AES67 interface card, part of its flagship Audio ToolBox Suite. Bringing low-latency and bridging capacities to high performance applications, the AxC-AES67 interface card is fully compatible with AES67 and Ravenna protocols, and supports industry standard SMPTE2110, ST2022-7 Seamless Protection Switching and NMOS IS-04 + IS-05.
 

Merging Technologies’ ZMAN module provides the interface card with efficient media transport in a compact form factor. What makes it unique is the additional, built-in processing capabilities, with two ARM CPUs and FPGA real-estate. It also features high-resolution sample rates, up to 32 Ravenna/AES67 streams, channel-based audio routing and ultra-low latency.

The AxC-AES67 was recently integrated into the Millennium Center auditorium in Switzerland, a project that required the implementation of high-quality networked audio management for immersive experiences. The venue was facing problems with latency and channel number limitation, which left staff with an incomplete and unreliable system.

AuviTran provided a transformative solution using several AuviTran ToolBoxes and AxC cards, including the new AxC-AES67, which was part of a seamless system that resolved compatibility issues at the state-of-the-art venue, and significantly improved system performance. Additionally, AuviTran also supplied the AxC-AB and AxC-Dante for full audio synchronization. 

As a result, the Millennium Center – based in Lausanne – has now become one of the first venues in the world to successfully manage such a complex audio setup. The solution from AuviTran, with the help of Merging, powers unparalleled immersive audio experiences and has met the high expectations of both venue owners and audiences.
