The Audio Engineering Society has published the full conference schedule for the 158th AES Convention, taking place in Warsaw, Poland, opening on Thursday, May 22, and running through Saturday, May 24. This is the second time that the AES European Convention will be in Warsaw. The selected venue for the event - modern film studios - should be an interesting choice. The conference will offer a wide array of topics, including music production, immersive and automotive audio.

Neumann announced the release of RIME (Reference Immersive Monitoring Environment), a new DAW plugin that allows users to monitor stereo, surround, and immersive formats up to 7.1.4 via Neumann's NDH 20 and NDH 30 headphones. RIME enables music producers and mixing engineers to monitor immersive formats like Dolby Atmos in reference quality, providing an excellent alternative when a multichannel loudspeaker setup is unavailable or when working on the go.

Dolby Laboratories and General Motors announced that Dolby Atmos will be supported as an available feature across Cadillac's entire 2026 electric vehicle lineup. This will include the 2026 Escalade IQL, Escalade IQ, Lyriq-V, Optiq, Vistiq, and more. As previewed at CES 2025, select 2025 models will also receive Dolby Atmos through over-the-air software updates. Dolby reports over 2 million Dolby Atmos-enabled cars already on the roads.
