AudioControl Introduces eARC to Dante Converter

August 7 2024, 02:10
AudioControl has introduced an eARC to Dante converter — a first-of-its-kind solution for custom integration professionals that connects the stereo audio signal from a video display via eARC to any Dante-enabled device for distribution to any zone. Unlike any other solution, AudioControl's compact eTV converter creates significant opportunity for integrators to easily distribute TV audio, especially from TV apps, synchronized across all Dante-equipped zones latency-free.

"The AudioControl Dante eTV eARC converter was developed in direct response to requests from AV integrators who are using eARC for more integrations and are looking for an efficient way to interface with Dante systems," comments Chris Kane, Vice President of Residential Sales at AVPro Global. "With the addition of this innovative solution, AudioControl has enhanced the capabilities of the Dante ecosystem, enabling dealers to exceed client’s expectations by providing TV audio to any zone with startling clarity and effortless connectivity."

With the AudioControl eARC to Dante converter, users can now enjoy local TV audio (audio output must be configured for 2-channel PCM) from any zone with the ease of local volume control using the TV’s standard remote while controlling distributed volume in Dante-equipped zones using any applicable third-party control platform. Ultra-compact and PoE-powered for easy installation, the AudioControl eTV converter fits easily behind even the sleekest flat-panel TV.

Signal transfer of the eARC audio signal remains in the digital domain, available to any networked Dante device. Industry-standard sampling rates from 44.1 kHz to 96kHz in 16-, 24-, or 32-bit are converted into analog with zero impact on audio fidelity for detailed, precise site-wide playback. The AudioControl eARC to Dante converter also offers signal sensing switching between an eARC signal and its secondary coaxial/TOSLINK digital input for effortless operation. Once powered and connected to a Dante network, the converter is auto discovered for easy identification.
