Antelope Announces Galaxy 32 Synergy Core 32-Channel Audio Interface with Dante, HDX, and Thunderbolt 3

Unlike some of the fundamental decisions regarding audio interfaces that are enforced by audio manufacturers, some companies prefer to go the opposite path and support all options that make sense for the market. That is the case with Antelope Audio and its latest Galaxy 32 Synergy Core multichannel audio interface and high-end AD/DA converter. 64-bit AFC technology, and Synergy Core real-time effects processing contribute to make this 1U solution even more attractive.

Flexible, full integration is at the core of Antelope's Galaxy 32 Synergy Core’s design. Unlike other audio interfaces in the studio and audio recording market currently enforcing users to remain limited in connectivity choices, operating systems supported, and sometimes left without any evolution options, Antelope always tries to support the latest and best options available. And at the moment those are USB/Thunderbolt and Dante AoIP interfaces, which this unit supports - plus the unfortunately mandatory HDX proprietary avenue for Pro Tools support.

With the Galaxy 32 Synergy Core, users can connect all their gear to an attractive 1U rack-mountable chassis with the audio interface itself handling all routing, recording, and monitoring thereafter. To have Galaxy 32 Synergy Core acting as the hub of an interconnected system is to have an I/O channel count of up to 64 channels of recording and playback via Dante with all I/O of the audio interface always available.

Starting with 32-channels with Dante, HDX, and Thunderbolt 3, plus 32 analog input channels in four DSub 25 connectors with AD/DC coupling switch, 32 analog output channels in four DC-coupled DSub 25 connectors, and Primary 1 and 2 HDX ports for HD Native or HDX rigs with 64 I/O channels in Pro Tools, even at 192kHz. The Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C connector) port offers 64 I/O channels supporting 24-bit sample rates up to 192kHz, with custom macOS and Windows drivers for low-latency performance in native DAW applications. For those already invested in AoIP, Primary and Secondary Dante RJ-25 ports offer 64 I/O channels supporting 24-bit/192kHz.

For those who actually depend upon working with Pro Tools, this interface offers a superior integration level, allowing to maintain 64 I/O channels even at 192kHz, thanks to a unique FPGA configuration. That means, users no longer need to stack up additional hardware to record and mix so many channels at such a high sample rate. Combined with HD Native or HDX’s low latency monitoring and delay compensation for hardware inserts, the Galaxy 32 Synergy Core’s extensive connectivity and great quality conversion make for an excellent Pro Tools system configuration.

With the Antelope Galaxy 32 Synergy Core interface, there are not only input and output channels aplenty, but there are also digital connectivity possibilities, with 64 I/O channels of Optical MADI, 64 I/O channels of Optical ADAT, and two S/PDIF channels, all supporting 24-bit sample rates up to 192kHz. All this inputs and outputs are all available at any time and can be used simultaneously without needing to exchange boards or change setups, so it is easy to work on multiple sessions.

Like all products from the company, the transparent mastering-grade converters and the Acoustically Focused Clocking (AFC) technology employing 64 bit DSP, as found in Antelope Audio’s acclaimed master clocks, combine to deliver a great performance for the entire studio setup with up to 130 dB dynamic range.

And the implementation of Antelope Audio’s acclaimed Synergy Core real-time effects processing platform allows up to 128 effects instances available as 32 virtual racks of eight effects each in a single session to be loaded simultaneously and applied in real-time during monitoring, post-production, and live recording with imperceptible latency and no host CPU load to boot.

Beyond that, the Galaxy 32 Synergy Core interface comes complete with a collection of 37 Synergy Core modeled effects, with further expansions always possible, thanks to Antelope Audio’s ever-growing effects library encompassing emulations of classic gear and third-party specialist effects.

Antelope Audio confirmed the Galaxy 32 Synergy Core is shipping now, available for $4,895.00 USD/EUR.
