28% of Smart Speaker Owners use it to Control a Smart Home Device

The latest research from Parks Associates tracks growth of voice control and voice-based technologies for smart home and connected entertainment ecosystems. Parks Associates found that 28% of U.S. broadband households with a smart speaker use the voice assistant to control a smart home device, compared to only 12% that use it to control an entertainment device. Juniper Predicts Hearables To Revolutionize Personal Audio Tech by 2022

Predicting that over 50% of all wireless headphones will incorporate Hearable Voice assistants, touch sensors and other interface technologies, a new report by Juniper Research forecasts that hearables will become the new standard for personal audio in under 5 years. The new report from Juniper has found that there will be an estimated 417 million hearables in use by 2022. This includes fitness-focused devices, hearing augmentation and purely audio-focused devices.
