Apogee Releases MetaRecorder Version 2.0 Audio Recording App with Timecode for iPhone
Apogee announced the release of MetaRecorder Version 2.0, the first two-channel 24-bit/96kHz audio recording app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to offer intuitive multi-take recording, tagging and file organization for any field recording scenario. Version 2.0 adds support for the new UltraSync BLUE module by Timecode Systems with an in-app purchase along with updated compatibility with new Apogee products like Jam+ and MiC+.

G-Audio Launches Loudness SDK for OTT and Music Streaming Platforms
G-Audio, a next generation audio technology company dedicated to enhancing the listening experience for Extended-Reality (XR) and streaming media, launched its Sol Loudness SDK for streaming services, adding to its existing Sol SDK spatial audio rendering for 360° video. Amadeus has begun shipping its latest offering for the Hi-Fi community, passive versions of their award-winning Philharmonia speakers co-designed by world-renowned architect Jean Nouvel. Following the success of the original self-powered and digitally processed speakers created specifically for the Philharmonie de Paris recording and mastering studios, Amadeus received enquires for a passive and more affordable version, directly targeting listening rooms for audio enthusiasts, which was no small challenge.

Facebook 360 Immersive Media Production Workshop at AES New York 2018 Convention
The 145th AES International Convention in New York City will host a number of exciting educational events. SIA Acoustics has been acquired by NYC-based engineering firm Robert Derector Associates Consulting Engineers. The acoustical design and consulting company, winner of multiple awards is now part of a larger engineering group, increasing resources and the services offered by RDA’s engineering practice. "As part of RDA, the SIA Acoustics team will strive to maintain the high level of attention, expertise, and constructive engagement that both SIA and RDA have always worked to achieve," the announcement states.

AIMS Members Lead AoIP Interoperability Demonstrations on New Audio-Over-IP Technology Pavilion at AES New York 2018
The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) will join forces with the Audio Engineering Society (AES) to host the first Audio-Over-IP Technology (AoIP) Pavilion at AES New York 2018, co-located with the 2018 NAB Show New York at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City, Oct. 17-19. The AoIP Pavilion will consist of six demo pods, an AIMS demonstration area, and a Pavilion Theater, all of which will highlight the latest in AoIP technology and compatibility, including AES67 and associated technologies as they relate to SMPTE ST 2110.
