
Solid State Logic Launches SSL 18 Rackmount Audio Interface
During a press conference at the 2025 NAMM Show, Solid State Logic announced the SSL 18 rackmount USB-C audio interface with 8 microphone amplifier channels, and previewed the forthcoming ALPHA 8 interface expander, marking the start of a new era in rackmount production technology from the company. Developed from SSL's deep expertise in analog and digital design, the SSL 18 offers exceptional audio performance with a studio-ready feature set and latest-generation 32-bit/192 kHz converters.

Austrian Audio Introduces OC-S10 Dual-Output Studio Microphone
Fresh from the announcement of the DPA acquisition, Austrian Audio celebrated NAMM 2025 with the introduction of its new flagship product, intended to redefine what a studio recording microphone can do in this century. The new OC-S10 Reference Recording Microphone takes the company’s first condenser microphones to a new level, not only allowing complete control over the polar pattern and capture characteristics, but also allowing manipulation of the response via a unique dual output of the front and rear membranes.

Marshall Group Sold to HongShan Capital Group (HSG)
In an unexpected turn of events as the company returned to the NAMM Show for the first time in five years, Marshall Group AB, the new Swedish-Anglo company created in 2023, announced they sold the majority stake to private equity fund HongShan Capital Group (HSG) from China. The major selling shareholders - Altor, Telia Company, Time for Growth, and Zenith VC - have all entered into an agreement with HSG in a deal valuing the company at 1.1 billion Euros. The Marshall family will retain a meaningful stake of over 20% in the company.

DPA Unveils Latest CORE+ Patent-Pending Microphone Innovation
DPA Microphones announced its new patent-pending CORE+ technology that the Danish manufacturer says sets a new standard for distortion-free microphone sound. Touted as a groundbreaking innovation, DPA says that CORE+ eliminates the non-linearities typically generated by the membrane and electronic components of a microphone to redefine what’s possible in sound capture. The technology was unveiled at NAMM 2025 and will be presented also at ISE 2025.

Lavoce Expands Range of Common Magnet Coaxials with New CAF Series
Lavoce Italiana introduced the first models from its upcoming CAF Series of common HF/LF magnet coaxials at the 2025 NAMM Show. Starting with 12” and 15” models, the CAF Series coaxials use aluminum baskets and common HF/LF ferrite magnet motor structures, complementing the company’s existing CAN Series (Aluminum basket/Neo) and CSF Series (Steel basket/Ferrite) models using the same advanced, common magnet design approach.

Shure announced the expansion of its Nexadyne product line with the introduction of three all-new dynamic instrument microphones: the Nexadyne 2 Kick Drum Microphone, Nexadyne 5 Guitar Amp Microphone, and Nexadyne 6 Tom/Snare Microphone.
