Test Bench: The AMT100H Driver from Eighteen Sound
The AMT100H driver from Eighteen Sound is the "little brother" of the AMT200P (with the XMT200 horn) air motion transformer (characterized in the November 2021 issue). Features for the AMT100H, include a rectangular throat with a Kapton diaphragm, a neodymium magnet structure, and a net weight of 1.84lb (0.835kg). AKM Reveals Low-Power ADC Device With Acoustic Activity Sensor
Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation (AKM) has developed the AK5707, a low-power monaural 16-bit A/D converter (ADC) equipped with an Acoustic Activity Analyzer (AAA) and Audio Buffer for detection of specific sounds. The new compact ADC is useful for smart sensors that are able to detect glass breaking sounds or emergency alarms in multiple applications. The acoustic activity detect feature works at only 34μA, ideal for wearables.

Ferrum Introduces ERCO DAC Gen 2 with Firmware and Circuit Updates
Polish high-end audio brand Ferrum has announced the introduction of an improved version of its ERCO DAC and headphone amplifier. With the full reprogramming of ERCO's software in combination with changes in the analog circuitry, the Ferrum ERCO Gen 2 is one step closer to the performance levels of WANDLA, Ferrum's flagship converter. Available for $1,795 USD (or EUR) - considered affordable for high-end hifi - this upgrade is available for existing ERCO owners.

AIMS Announces Finalization of Key IPMX Standards Documents
