Cedar Audio and Merging Technologies Agreement on Retouch Technology

Cedar Audio and Merging Technologies have agreed on a patent license and now announced the development of a new, 64-bit CEDAR for Pyramix. Cedar Audio’s Retouch introduced the concept of spectral editing in February 2002. Since then, many software companies have licensed the CEDAR's technology and, in 2014, after a dispute with a US company, “the Retouch patent”, was validated.

Following the demonstration at the 137th AES Convention in Los Angeles, Audionamix has released the highly anticipated Pro edition of their audio source separation software, ADX TRAX. ADX TRAX Pro is a professional-grade tool, leveraging the full collection of ADX algorithms and spectral editing tools. The company will also release a unique ADX Vocal Volume Control (VVC) AAX Native 64 plug-in for Pro Tools 11, in December 2014.

The October 2014 edition of audioXpress, features an article written by Rick Silva, Vice President of Production and Product Management for Audionamix, explaining how the company approached audio source separation using its new software, ADX TRAX. The article also details the new ADX TRAX 2.0 Spectral software, demonstrated at the recent 137th AES convention in Los Angeles.
