Microchip Launches New Turnkey Capacitive Touch Controllers

Turnkey touch controllers are a fast and easy way to upgrade from mechanical buttons to modern touch buttons or displays. With the launch of its 12-button MTCH2120 touch controller, Microchip Technology is providing product designers with a straightforward pathway for implementing touch button capabilities on user interfaces. The new touch controller comes with a comprehensive ecosystem of tools to streamline development and speed time to market.

Texas Instruments (TI) introduced the first operational amplifier (op amp) to combine ultra-high precision with the industry's lowest supply current. With exceptional power-to-precision performance, the LPV821 zero-drift, nanopower op amp enables engineers to attain the highest DC precision, while consuming 60 percent less power than competitive zero-drift devices. The LPV821 is designed for use in precision applications such as wireless sensing nodes, home and factory automation equipment, and portable electronics.

Microchip’s new PIC24 “GA7” family of microcontrollers (MCU) is now available. As the lowest-cost 256 KB Flash memory 16-bit MCUs available today, these PIC24 devices enable extremely cost-effective designs for Internet of Things (IoT) sensor nodes, portable devices, industrial control, and any battery operated application that requires developers to cut power consumption, cost and space.
