Allen & Heath has revealed a new stunning new mixing console design. Avantis is the third model to be based on the company's XCVI FPGA engine, allowing 96kHz operation and puts this next-generation technology available across all its 64 channels and 42 configurable busses, with twin Full HD touchscreens, extensive I/O options and processing from the company's flagship dLive mixing system. The new console is also designed with a surprisingly robust all-metal structure inspired by tubular exo skeletons of super-bikes!

New ams TMD2635 Proximity Sensor Module Enhances Smaller True Wireless Earbud Designs

Austrian sensor specialist ams announced the world’s smallest 2-in-1 IR proximity sensor module, paving the way to smaller, lighter, and always-available True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds. The ultra-small package of the new ams TMD2635 module measures just 1mm3, and enables ear detection triggers to help extend battery life between charges. Two TMD2635 modules can be used in tandem to enable touchless gesture controls.

Currently running a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, their first product combines a portable speaker with LED lighting and its called Oupio M. The design and concept looks great, and the team carefully researched the best possible options, including choice of materials and speaker design, opting for a combination of Balance Mode Radiator drivers from Tectonic Audio Labs.

Visitors to the NAMM 2019 show new AAC North halls couldn’t help noticing a Celestion booth prominently featuring a big red horn. That second Celestion booth at the show, was used by the British manufacturer to specifically promote its professional audio products and services to OEM’s. That same bespoke Big Red Horn was now displayed with the cutting-edge Axi2050 wideband axiperiodic compression driver at the 2019 Prolight+Sound show in Frankfurt.
