Røde Introduces Updated Wireless GO II Dual Channel Wireless Microphone System

Production practices continue to evolve extremely quickly as users embrace new mobile devices, live streaming platforms and formats, and creative approaches. Launched in April 2019, the original Wireless GO quickly became one of Røde's most popular products. The next generation of improved Wireless GO II series was now announced.

Hooke Audio, the company that previously developed the Hooke Verse binaural recording headset, is now launching a new KickStarter campaign to promote its latest development, the Hooke Lav. While there are many affordable lavalier microphones that connect to wireless transmitters and even Bluetooth, the Hooke Lav gets a few things right. First its design is "lapel" friendly and will look nice on-camera. Secondly, the updated Bluetooth technology means it might actually work better.

Røde Microphones today announced the launch and immediate shipping of the new Lavalier GO, a high-quality, professional-grade lavalier microphone designed to pair perfectly with the company's Wireless GO transmitter and most recording devices with a 3.5mm TRS microphone input. The new 4.5mm miniature lapel microphone attaches with a mounting clip and includes a foam pop filter to minimize wind noise and vocal plosives. It also features a Kevlar reinforced cable, designed to withstand the rigors of any shoot.

Previewed earlier in 2018, Sennheiser launched the Memory Mic, a practical and reliable Bluetooth clip-on microphone that allows to record proper audio commentary and interviews when recording with a smartphone. The Memory Mic is an absolute must-have for mobile journalists which increasingly use their smartphones, offering a quick and simple way to capture documentary or commentary. The Sennheiser stand at NAB 2018 showed tailor-made audio solutions for mobile journalism, newsgathering, and film productions, in addition to presenting the AMBEO range of products for VR and AR productions. New configurations for the updated Evolution Wireless G4 family were the main focus, but there was also a preview of a very interesting new wireless audio recording solution for mobile devices.
