Røde Microphones today announced the launch and immediate shipping of the new Lavalier GO, a high-quality, professional-grade lavalier microphone designed to pair perfectly with the company's Wireless GO transmitter and most recording devices with a 3.5mm TRS microphone input. The new 4.5mm miniature lapel microphone attaches with a mounting clip and includes a foam pop filter to minimize wind noise and vocal plosives. It also features a Kevlar reinforced cable, designed to withstand the rigors of any shoot.

Røde Microphones' Wireless GO is the world’s smallest and most versatile wireless microphone system. The transmitter and receiver weigh in at a minuscule 31g each, making it incredibly compact, and with an omnidirectional mic built into the transmitter, it offers truly wireless audio for the first time in this form factor.

But for users who want the extra flexibility of a lapel mic, the Lavalier GO is the perfect solution. For super compact wireless audio, either for presentation or interviews, the new Lavalier Go offers a permanently polarized condenser omni-directional microphone to plug into the transmitter, clip into a shirt or jacket lapel, slipping the transmitter into a pocket or clipped to a belt. The broadcast-grade lavalier microphone can also be connected to any camera or device with a a 3.5mm TRS jack mic input that supplies plug-in power, including the RØDElink range of wireless transmitters.

Perfect for content creators, filmmakers, journalists, business professionals and more, the discreet 4.5mm omnidirectional microphone delivers crystal clear audio in all environments, delivering 83dB typical signal-to-noise ratio and is incredibly forgiving when it comes to placement on talent, allowing for greater flexibility in fast-paced situations. The Lavalier GO comes with a durable mounting clip for quick and easy rigging, a foam pop filter for reducing harsh plosives and wind noise, and features Kevlar reinforced cabling built to withstand even the most demanding usage.

The new microphone is even compatible with smartphones and other devices with TRRS inputs using the Røde SC4 adapter. For those looking for a lavalier with a locking connector, the RØDELink Lavalier microphone that ships with the RØDELink Filmmaker Kit is also now available to buy separately.

The high-quality omnidirectional condenser capsule of the Lavalier GO was designed in Røde’s state-of-the-art facility in Sydney, Australia. The Lavalier GO is now available for US$79 in a package that includes the durable Kevlar reinforced cable, pop shield, mounting clip, and carry pouch. The Røde Wireless GO is also available for US$199.
