Scaeva Technologies and Slate Audio Team Up on VSX Headphone and Modeling System

Blue Cat Audio announced Re-Head, a unique head-response plug-in for most DAW platforms on Mac and Windows, created to make using headphones easier for audio professionals. The head response simulator for headphones allows users to enjoy studio monitor sound even when using headphones. Re-Head uses a head response model to recreate the effect of one's head and skull on the audio coming in from the speakers.

Audeze, the high-end audio headphone manufacturer from California, together with Embody, a company focused on personalized spatial audio technology and HRTF profiles, has launched new features to the Audeze Reveal+ spatial audio plugin. Based on feedback from users over the past few months, the Audeze Reveal+ has been updated (version 1.3.1) to provide an improved reference target response when mixing and mastering with Audeze headphones, in virtually any location.

Digital signal processing solutions specialist Waves Audio, confirmed the availability of its new Waves Nx, Virtual Mix Room solution for mixing with headphones. This new acoustics emulation plugin simulates depth, natural reflections, and the stereo image of an actual, physical room, allowing for a “virtual speaker” experience on headphones, allowing mixing even for 5.1 surround on regular stereo headphones.
