Diodes new Tiny Audio Class-D Amp Produces 1.9 W from 5V

Diodes introduced its new PAM8905 Class-D audio power amplifier with integrated boost converter and battery tracking AGC. This highly-integrated solution drives up to 1.9W (1% THD+N) into an 8 ohm speaker with 85% typical efficiency, helping to extend battery life when playing audio in smartphones, portable electronics and low-power speakers.

Microspeakers are manufactured predominantly in Asia. Many microspeaker manufacturers in Taiwan, Korea, and Hong Kong started in the 1970s with buzzer production, which included household appliances, automotive warnings, telephone ringers, and so forth.
