Using the extra time available for development allowed by the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions on other activities, German developer DirectOut has greatly expanded the capabilities of its PRODIGY Series with the release of new firmware for both the PRODIGY.MC (Modular Audio Converter) and PRODIGY.MP (Multifunction Audio Processor). The result, the company says, is a "prodigious" evolution, with both firmware and software updates that considerably expand features, redundancy, and versatility.

The platform allows musicians to play, teach and collaborate together live and in sync from different locations. According to Elk, in order to avoid any latency, the new Aloha collaboration service runs on high-speed Internet and over 5G networks "transforming music creation and performance today with a clear path to the future."

Tascam has announced a significant update to its USB Audio Interface Driver for Windows - Version 4.0. Available now as a free update, Version 4.0 introduces display adjustments of the software window according to the screen resolution, fixes bugs and stability issues and is compatible with six Tascam audio interface models.
