Following the announcement at NAMM 2020 of a brand new range of audio interfaces from Audient, signaled with a new brand for the renowned British audio manufacturer, the larger EVO 8 USB-C class compliant model is now available. After the launch of the 2in / 2out EVO 4, Audient delivered on its promise to make recording easy, while expanding the possibilities required by a whole new range of applications. The EVO USB-C audio interfaces are exactly the formula required by today's home users, podcast producers, and musicians.

Anticipating a warm reception equal to the one its little brother EVO 4 received earlier this year, the larger, 4in / 4out audio interface, EVO 8 also provides advanced features and stunning aesthetics, along with the professional sound and technical quality expected from Audient. All from a USB bus powered design with an updated level of specifications and convenience, working with any operating systems.

The second interface from the new EVO range, EVO 8 is designed with intuitive user experience in mind, for musicians, producers, home recordists - and even podcasters and streamers. Taking the benchmark set by EVO 4 to the next level, EVO 8 is all about creatives working smarter, not harder. With an extra set of outputs and the ability to set the monitoring levels of the two outputs independently, EVO 8 gives even more monitoring flexibility.

"We still want to make technology accessible for all, no matter the skill-level or art form," says marketing director, Andy Allen. "EVO 8 has all the same features as EVO 4 with more inputs & outputs so you’re getting more bang for your buck. EVO 8’s additional inputs can really broaden your options: whether that means more musicians playing together, better definition recording instruments using multiple mics or just more guests on your podcast. It’s still all about making great-sounding recordings as easy and effortless as possible."

The EVO 8 interface also offers Smartgain features, which automatically sets the gain levels when the user starts playing or singing. "This is perfect for anyone who wants to focus on being creative, or perhaps is just starting out," Allen continues. "Of course, pros can still dial in the gain manually if they choose, as well as benefiting from other features they’d expect from a professional audio interface."

Inside the new EVO USB-C interfaces are class leading converters  from AKM, allowing users to enjoy a better audio experience in direct combination with any DAW or computer-based system. The EVO range provides high performance, all new EVO mic preamps with 58dB gain range, class-leading converters with a 113dB dynamic range alongside a JFET D.I, Smartgain, Smart Touchpoints (which allow controlling the speakers, headphones and channels all using the volume encoder), two speaker and headphone outputs, ultra-low latency, a dedicated EVO software mixer and audio loop-back functionality - an impressive feature set for its price point. Audio Loop-back enables users to record their computer audio at the same time as their microphones. Ideal for podcasters and streamers.

The new EVO 8 USB-C audio interface is retailing at €190 Euros or US $199 MAP. The EVO 8 will be available in some markets early to mid-October, with availability in Europe expected for mid-November.
