Featuring the Panasonic PAN1783 Bluetooth Low Energy 5.3 module, the board is a ready-to-use platform with a class-D amplifier, AKM stereo ADC/DAC, MEMS microphone, NFC and is powered over USB or external power supply.

AKM Reveals Low-Power ADC Device With Acoustic Activity Sensor

Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation (AKM) has developed the AK5707, a low-power monaural 16-bit A/D converter (ADC) equipped with an Acoustic Activity Analyzer (AAA) and Audio Buffer for detection of specific sounds. The new compact ADC is useful for smart sensors that are able to detect glass breaking sounds or emergency alarms in multiple applications. The acoustic activity detect feature works at only 34μA, ideal for wearables.

Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation (AKM) has unveiled the new AK7018 and AK7017, pin-compatible audio DSPs featuring dual and single HiFi 4 CPUs, respectively. The two new products in the company's automotive audio DSP line are both compatible with DSP Concepts' Audio Weaver, joining the existing AKM AK7709VQ Multi Core DSP with SRC. AKM will present these new products at CES 2024 where it plans to showcase its latest advancements in mobility solutions, including a demo car with an immersive audio experience.

While the mounting area has been significantly reduced by 32% compared to AKM's previous products, it features Velvet Sound technology for high sound quality. The new low power DAC was developed to enhance mobile and portable wireless designs, such as wireless headphones and VR/AR headsets.

AKM Launches AK5705 Low Power 4-Channel 32-bit A/D Converter

Asahi Kasei Microdevices (AKM) has developed the AK5705, a low power consumption 4-channel 32-bit A/D converter (ADC) with a built-in transimpedance amplifier in addition to a low-noise microphone amplifier. The new AKM the AK5705 ADC is connectable to current output sensors, supports a sampling frequency of 384kHz, and achieves a dynamic range of 109dB, while consuming 43% less power than existing AKM products. The built-in AC coupling capacitor significantly reduces the mounting area including external components.
