PreSonus announced the global launch of two new products in its Revelator line of products for home studios and work from home. As with other Revelator-series products, the new Revelator Dynamic USB vocal microphone and Revelator io44 USB-C audio interface combine studio-grade audio recording quality with powerful onboard processing and a simple software-controlled mixer that can blend sound from multiple applications for monitoring and live streaming.

The PreSonus Revelator series shows an effort from the company that is now part of Fender to meet current market demand in affordable, versatile solutions for home recording and webstreaming, with products that are affordable and add powerful software features. All products in the PreSonus Revelator series feature powerful onboard processing that provides compression, EQ, Reverb – even VoiceFX like delay, chorus, and more – plus easy-to-use presets that let users get professional results quickly. A key part is the built-in software mixer that lets users combine audio from multiple applications and create custom mixes for monitoring, live streaming, and more. And it all happens onboard the Revelator interfaces or microphones, so the connected computer doesn’t have to do any extra work.

All these PreSonus Revelator series benefit also from the latest USB-C interfaces and to receive bus-power, working directly plugged into any computer, without the need for clumsy and unreliable power adapters.

Like its sibling, the Revelator USB large diaphragm condenser microphone, the new PreSonus Revelator Dynamic microphone offers easy-to-use presets for studio recording, live streaming, and podcasting. The Revelator Dynamic features the same dynamic microphone capsule found in the PreSonus PD-70 broadcast microphone. Like the PD-70, the Revelator Dynamic is designed to capture the human voice cleanly and clearly by eliminating breathiness, unwanted room reverb, and even ambient room noise. This allows the Revelator Dynamic to be set up in virtually any space, capturing the perfect vocal take, and allowing home recordists to set up their studio just about anywhere.

Following up on the success of the Revelator io24 audio interface, the new PreSonus Revelator io44 is even more compact, and offers four inputs and two outputs, being bus-powered via USB-C. It can serve simply as an ultra-mobile recording solution, or the core of a streaming system. The combo mic/instrument input offers the clear sound of a PreSonus XMAX-L microphone preamplifier, and there is a 3.5mm line-level stereo input for external mixers, audio sources, or mobile devices. A high-powered, 3.5mm stereo headphone output works with regular headphones and TRRS gaming headsets (mic in, stereo out). The balanced 1/4" stereo main outputs provide the ideal connection to professional studio monitors.

The Revelator-series USB microphones and audio interfaces all offer onboard signal processing, with the same Fat Channel EQ, compressor, gate, and limiter algorithms found in PreSonus' StudioLive Series III mixers, plus reverb and voice effects like delay, vocoder, and more. Professionally crafted presets deliver immediate results including emulations of concert halls, robotic voice effects, and more. The PreSonus' UC Surface software for macOS and Windows provides full access to the processor settings allowing users to create their own unique sound and save them as presets for instant access.

Every Revelator-series product offers a software-controlled mixer that makes it easy to blend audio from three different applications at once to add backing tracks, Zoom calls, or gameplay and create custom mixes with all available analog inputs while monitoring at near-zero latency and simultaneously streaming and recording with up to 24-bit/96kHz. For those wanting to go live on a mobile device, every Revelator-series products connect directly to iOS, iPadOS, and Android devices. Because settings are stored onboard the hardware, every saved preset is accessible right from the physical button, so users can take their favorite voice effect presets with them wherever they go.

While compatible with virtually any recording software, Revelator-series products also come with a complete suite of software, including the powerful, yet easy-to-use PreSonus Studio One Artist production and recording software for macOS and Windows. The Studio Magic software suite is also included and features more than $1,000 worth of effects, instruments, sounds and more. The Revelator Dynamic USB microphone also includes a sturdy, extendable desktop mic stand.

The PreSonus Revelator Dynamic USB microphone and Revelator io44 USB audio interface are available now at street prices of $199.95 and $179.95 USD, respectively.
