During InfoComm 2016, Allen & Heath has released a major firmware update for its dLive series, which includes Director software to enable offline editing and live mixing on a PC with or without a Surface, plus preamp modeling on all 128 channels, 5.1 surround sound, and dedicated Mute Groups. The announcement follows the recent introduction of a host of major enhancements to the feature set and ecosystem of its Qu Series of compact digital mixers.

In 2010, JBL Professional introduced its CBT series of vertical columns, trying to address the successful concept with a passive and more affordable approach. In 2013, Harman acquired the world market leader in vertical array loudspeakers, the Dutch company Duran Audio, and gained access to its sophisticated Digital Directivity Synthesis technology and Axys Intellivox range of products. At InfoComm 2016, JBL now introduced its flagship JBL CBT1000 column array, together with the JBL Intellivox HP-DS170 loudspeaker.

InfoComm 2016 Officially the Largest on Record

A record 1,000 exhibitors, including 211 new exhibitors, filled the Las Vegas Convention Center June 8-10 for InfoComm 2016, occupying 527,105 net square feet of exhibit and special events space - also a show record. Attendees registered for more than 12,000 seats at InfoComm University sessions throughout the week, more than double the number engaged in training and education in 2015.
