Treble Technologies Offers Software Development Kit (SDK) for Sound Simulation in the Cloud

Treble Technologies announced its new software development kit designed to generate synthetic audio data for AI-based audio software and enable the virtual prototyping of acoustics in audio hardware. The SDK will allow users to utilize Treble’s unique wave-based acoustic simulation technology in their own solutions, seamlessly integrating the offering into existing workflows at any scale.

The Klippel Analyzer System has received another software update with new features for both R&D and QC applications. The updates are free of charge for any users of dB-Lab major version 210 or QC 6, respectively and provide new relevant tools for output-based testing of contemporary DSP-enhanced speakers, headphones and other audio systems according to the IEC 60268-21 standard.

Building on the success of the High-frequency Head and Torso Simulator Type 5128 – and by popular demand – Brüel & Kjær has released a new tabletop HATS version, Type 5128-B to support customers looking to test headphones right on their desk or in small anechoic chambers. Tabletop HATS is a torso-less head that is supported on a foot. Its adjustable neck makes it suitable for testing all types of headphones, and it can be used free standing on a desk, fitted on a tripod or on a turntable using a tripod mounting adapter. The head geometry complies with ITU-T Rec. P.58, IEC 60318-7 and ANSI S3.36-1985.

In the March 2019 edition of audioXpress, focusing on Test and Measurement, Stuart Yaniger explored the new Earphone Audio Response System or EARS, which miniDSP introduced as an affordable test jig for headphone measurements. Basically, this is a plug & play USB audio streaming device, featuring dual low noise calibrated mics with interchangeable silicon ears. But is it really the answer to bring "headphone measurements to the masses," as the manufacturer intended?
