Diodes Announces Smallest in Class 2A Schottky Rectifiers

Diodes announced three new Schottky rectifiers that are able to achieve the industry's highest current densities in their class, addressing market demands for smaller and more powerful electronic systems. Well-suited for space-constrained portable, mobile, and wearable designs, these are the first 2A Schottky rectifiers to be designed within the X3-DSN1406-2 package. With a footprint of 0.84mm2, this makes them the industry’s smallest in their class.

Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has developed the GRM011R60J104M multi-layer ceramic capacitor, which the company claims is the world’s first to feature a maximum capacitance of 0.1µF in 008004 inch size (0.25×0.125mm). Mass production of this new product is scheduled to begin in 2020. Applications can be valuable in wearables devices and compact audio players, among many other products that require large numbers of more compact capacitors.

TDK Announces New EMC Components with High-Current Noise Suppression Filters for Audio Lines

TDK announced an expansion to its range of noise suppression filters for audio lines. The MAF1005G series now features low DC resistance and high rated current of up to 1.25 A, offering noise suppression at cellular frequencies from 600 MHz to 2.7 GHz. Due to their high rated current and compact dimensions, the components are ideally suited for the audio lines of external smartphone speakers and other compact communication devices such as headphones and microphones.
