ZVOX Audio Launches AccuVoice AV157 Voice-Clarifying TV Speaker With 12 Levels of Dialogue Boost

ZVOX Audio introduced a new compact speaker/soundbar that features the company's new SuperVoice dialogue clarifying technology. The AV157 uses ZVOX's patented hearing aid algorithms to make dialogue more clear – and adds SuperVoice, a new type of processing designed to reduce the level of background sound in TV programs. The Alexa ready AV157 is the latest addition to ZVOX's growing range of "hearing" products designed to help consumers who have difficulty understanding speech, setting a new standard for dialogue intelligibility.

iZotope released updates to its RX family of audio repair and enhancement software. The seventh generation of RX builds on years of extensive research in digital signal processing and machine learning, introducing new features like Music Rebalance and Repair Assistant that open up creative possibilities in music production, and new dialogue capabilities, comprehensive metering, multichannel support, and workflow enhancements for audio post.

The European Broadcasting Union EBU and Fraunhofer IIS have successfully conducted the first trial for live production of immersive and interactive sound using the MPEG-H TV Audio System at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) in Lisbon, Portugal. For the trial, the Fraunhofer sound engineers installed a height dimension to the impressive microphone setup in the Altice Arena, enabling them to produce an immersive and personalized audio mix live. Broadcasters and sound experts present at the venue could experience the enveloping and interactive MPEG-H sound.
