Yamaha RSio64-D Brings Mini-YGDAI Flexibility To Dante Networks

Launched at the Las Vegas NAB 2015 show and making its European debut at ProLight+Sound a few days later, the Yamaha RSio64-D I/O Rack is a Dante/Yamaha Mini-YGDAI card interface which provides up to 64 inputs/64 outputs for live sound, broadcast, recording and other professional audio applications.

The new Accordo2 family from STMicroelectronics offers a fully integrated audio subsystem, including media decoding, audio routing, sound processing, and analog audio inputs and outputs, as well as an independent secure CAN (Controller Area Network) microcontroller subsystem. Until now, car infotainment manufacturers had to use multiple devices to achieve the same result that a single Accordo2 device delivers.

Stagetec, one of the largest German manufacturers of professional audio technology, and DELEC, Stagetec’s digital intercom and communication systems arm, have long partnered with Audinate to implement Dante audio over IP solutions. Recently, Stagetec published an interesting white paper comparing the uses of both technologies and explaining the best way to leverage the existing integrations.
