Listen announced the release of SoundCheck 17, the flagship Windows/Mac software from the Boston audio test and measurement specialists, now including many new features to simplify multi-channel and voice controlled testing, such as a new level and cross-correlation trigger, average curve/waveform post-processing functionality, the ability to easily read and work with multichannel WAV files, multiple DC Connect control, and enhanced database options - useful when processing data from a large number of channels.

Audio Precision Releases APx Software Version 5.0 Adding Transfer Function Measurement, Cross-Spectral Analysis Of Arbitrary, Broadband Signals

With the announcement of its brand new APx555 B Series two-channel audio analyzer, Audio Precision also unveiled the updated version 5.0 of its APx audio measurement software. With this release, AP has added the ability to measure the transfer function of electronic audio and electroacoustic devices using any broadband signal. Release 5.0 also enables electronic activation of software option licenses, eliminating the iButton requirement for such options with earlier versions of APx audio measurement software.

Thanks to its unprecedented partnership with Denmark’s Roskilde Festival, Meyer Sound realized a rare opportunity to make precision measurements on the effect of variable atmospheric conditions on concert sound reinforcement. Working under the direction of Meyer Sound Senior Scientist Roger Schwenke, a technical team installed multiple weather sensors and measurement microphones during last summer’s event to measure the effects of atmospheric conditions on audio system response at varying distances above ground level.
