MSC Software is promoting new free educational seminars throughout the US to help engineers from a variety of industries better understand their product’s acoustic behavior. The new Acoustic Seminar Series includes an introduction to acoustic theory, an overview of acoustic scenarios from various industries, Q&A sessions and an acoustic simulation best practices overview.

This month’s edition features an overview of Acoustic Simulation of Audio Devices with Actran Software, Mike Klasco’s overview of Integrated Amplified Speaker Solutions and detailed Directory of vendors. James Croft reviews two related patents for a new type of subwoofer architecture. Test Bench examines a new 18” woofer from Precision Devices and the recently released 8” coax woofer/compression driver from Celestion.
