SSL Upgrades Duality and AWS Studio Consoles to Allow Automation as a DAW Plug-in

Solid State Logic announced the release of new Duality Delta and ASW Delta consoles featuring Delta-Control to seamlessly integrate analogue console automation and DAW based workflows. At the heart of Delta-Ctrl is a native AAX/RTAS/AU/VST/VST3 plug-in that allows automation of the console as if it were a DAW Plug-in.

Solid State Logic announced the release of the VHD Pre Module for the popular 500 format modular rack platform. The release makes its patented Variable Harmonic Drive (VHD) and SSL SuperAnalog preamp technology from Duality, SSL’s large format studio console, available for studios of all sizes.

The new Solid State Logic L300 can be seen for the first time at the 137th AES Convention in Los Angeles. The new SSL L300 compact live console maintains the signature sound of SSL and the power to handle large scale productions, offering a new more compact option that is perfectly suited to Touring, Installation, Houses Of Worship and Theatre. SSL is also introducing the new v2.5 software for both the L500 and L300 with new advanced FX optimisation and 27 new features and updates to the SSL Live console platform.

Anticipating an announcement scheduled for the 137th AES Convention in Los Angeles, Solid State Logic released the details on its new “killer” mid-scale analogue console. SSL calls the XL-Desk “the perfect analogue centre piece for a modern DAW focused studio”, featuring 40+ SuperAnalogue inputs, 18 slot 500 format rack, 8 SSL VHD mic Pre’s on board and more.

Solid State Logic will be showing an updated feature set for its MADI to Dante IP Audio Network interface at the IBC 2014 in Amsterdam. New features will include sample rate conversion (SRC) and a split/combine mode of the two MADI connectors in the company’s ‘MADI-Bridge’ solution.
