Focal Redefines 3-Way Nearfield Studio Category with New Trio6

In 2022, Focal renewed its core studio monitor line with the introduction of the three ST6 products: the Solo6 and Twin6 studio monitors, together with the Sub12 subwoofer. Now Focal expanded that line with the Trio6 flagship studio monitor, equipped with a Beryllium inverted dome tweeter, a 5" midrange woofer and a 8" subwoofer, also made with composite ‘W’-cone and a 35Hz cut-off frequency. Like the Solo6 and Twin6 monitors, the new Trio6 benefits from Focal's best and latest technologies.

This Test Bench centers on the Materion beryllium version of the popular Radian Audio 475PB 1" ferrite motor compression driver, also available with Radian’s outstanding sounding proprietary aerospace-grade aluminum alloy. Materion Corporation established a partnership for Radian Audio to handle manufacturing of Truextent premium acoustic beryllium diaphragms used in loudspeakers for both the pro audio and home audiophile markets. Since 2011, Radian Audio has supplied beryllium diaphragms and complete compression drivers and the company is recognized as one of the top suppliers in the category. The new partnership extends the resources for beryllium-based solutions available to brands and manufacturers.

Studio monitor company Symphonic Acoustics has unveiled its new Dual 8V ultra high-end monitors. The new 2X8V is the result of a longtime design and manufacturing collaboration between Symphonic Acoustics and several industry legends, including George Augspurger, John Storyk and others.
