Michael von Keitz, the veteran international pro-audio entrepreneur, has acquired 100% ownership of VUE Audiotechnik, the company he co-founded in 2012, with Ken Berger, Jim Sides, and Mike Adams and which experienced fast growth since its inception. Michael von Keitz is the owner of Speaker Trade in Solingen, Germany, the group that combines also the brands SE Audiotechnik and Mivoc, with offices in Germany, Singapore, and its own manufacturing facilities, Speaker Electronic (SE) in China.

With the acquisition of VUE Audiotechnik, Michael von Keitz builds on his commitment to the brand, a move that "underscores his belief in Vue’s great potential for growth and innovation in the global market place," the company states. "The integration of the entire value-added chain with the group’s significant engineering and manufacturing resources will drive the pace of growth of the brand’s renowned range of industry leading products and technologies. Customers will enjoy a greater competitiveness, a quicker time to market and an early extension of the product portfolio into installed applications.  The integration of the sales and marketing departments will lead to greatly enhanced communications and increase the quality of customer support," the announcement states.

The brands now combined under one roof include VUE Audiotechnik, SE Audiotechnik and Mivoc, which is Speaker Trade's own brand.  As part of that family VUE will benefit from enhanced production capacities, larger R&D teams and more efficient logistics. Another visible indicator of the changes was the launch of a new domain www.vue-audiotechnik.com as the company's website.

Michael von Keitz who has been designing and manufacturing professional loudspeaker solutions for more than four decades.  He established his first speaker company in Solingen, Germany in 1980. Since then he grew a pro-audio portfolio on a global level. Speaker Trade, formerly also known under the name Mivoc Audio Systems, has been offering home audio and disco loudspeakers, subwoofers, various accessories and complete systems. In addition, the company also offered car audio systems under their own brands such as Ravemaster or Raveland. MPA or Mivoc Professional Audio was the evolution of the project, specializing in PA loudspeakers, amplifier modules and complete systems.

In 1997, Michael von Keitz founded Speaker Electronic (SE). SE Audiotechnik is currently the main brand owned and operated by Michael von Keitz in Germany, with its own manufacturing facilities supported by Speaker Electronic in China. With over 800 employees, these manufacturing facilities close to Shanghai have fully implemented quality engineering approaches, combining German engineering and quality control with Chinese diligence and efficiency. Speaker Electronic is able to produce thousands of loudspeakers, housings and amplifiers every day, and those are also supplied to other brands in Europe, the USA and Asia.

VUE Audiotechnik was launched in 2012, based out of San Diego and propelled by the visionaries behind legendary companies such as Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) and Apogee Sound, as well as industry-defining products from QSC, Yamaha and JBL. VUE Audiotechnik’s founders, Ken Berger, Jim Sides and Michael Adams, used their four decades of experience in professional audio to design completely new systems for a broad range of sound reinforcement applications, from touring sound, to club sound, portable PA, houses of worship and commercial audio.

The company committed to redefining "state-of-the-art" loudspeaker performance by re-examining each element in the loudspeaker equation, and then leveraging the most advanced technologies. VUE developed a full range of compression drivers that feature Materion’s Truextent beryllium diaphragms, successfully implemented in the original h-12 and h-15 active two-way systems with a 4-inch compression driver and beryllium domes. Subsequently, they developed the al-4 Subcompact Line Array System also using a 1-inch exit Beryllium compression driver with a Truextent beryllium diaphragm, mounted to a precision waveguide delivering 90-degrees of horizontal coverage and a pair of Kevlar cone neodymium woofers flanking the HF device, while a companion amplifier/processor completes the al-4 system.

"The huge potential of an absolute high-end brand such as VUE was always clear to me," says Michael von Keitz. "The synergy of bringing together all our resources under one organization will allow us to better meet customer needs without any compromise."
