Genelec Introduces New Compact Smart Active Monitoring Systems

At the IBC 2014, Genelec released a new generation of SAM systems by introducing two new compact two-way monitors, the 8320 and 8330, and a new subwoofer, the 7350, along with an entirely new and highly intuitive Genelec Loudspeaker Manager software, GLM 2.0, complemented with a new measurement microphone and network adapter unit.

The new Genelec 1237A and 1238A Smart Active Monitors (SAM) are tri-amplified systems featuring AutoCal and GLM technologies and powerful Class D amplification. The 1237A and 1238A monitors feature on-board intelligence to automatically tune the frequency response to compensate for acoustical room influences, as well as achieving perfect alignment of levels and distance compensation at the listening position.

Genelec is now shipping the 8010 Active Monitor, the smallest member of the acclaimed 8000 product range. Independently of the size, the new 8010 is an impressive monitor, ideal around workstations. Thanks to its universal power supply, the 8010 is also a perfect monitor for music production professionals on the move.
