Dynaudio Completely Redesigned Confidence High-End Speaker Range Introduced at CEDIA 2018

Following an earlier presentation to the market at the High End Show in Munich, Danish loudspeaker specialist Dynaudio is offering the North American market its first look at an update to the company's legendary Confidence hi-fi speaker range at CEDIA 2018, in San Diego. With this update, Dynaudio brings its most celebrated technologies — including soft-dome tweeters, Magnesium Silicate Polymer (MSP) cones, and Dynaudio Directivity Control (DDC) — to new heights with new materials, manufacturing techniques and designs.

Dynaudio revealed its new M5P Evidence mastering monitor at the 141st AES show in Los Angeles. The M5P Evidence monitors have been designed without compromises using only the best materials and are custom built by hand in the Dynaudio factory in Denmark. The new speakers, part of the company’s prestigious M Series, were available for listening in a dedicated demo room at AES, side by side with Dynaudio’s new LYD compact nearfield monitors.

Introduced during the 137th Audio Engineering Society (AES) Convention in Los Angeles, CA, the new Genelec 8351A Acoustically Coaxial Smart Active Monitor (SAM) System is a tri-amplified studio near-field monitor with an ingenious design that introduces enhanced directivity control at lower frequencies in a relatively small speaker. Horns are often used in loudspeaker systems for a variety of reasons. One may be to provide increased acoustical loading to the driver attached to the horn.
