Merging Technologies has gained a justifiable reputation for supplying enabling tools for AES67/Ravenna AoIP networks that have more recently been incorporated into the ST2110 standards. The freeware CoreAudio VAD has been downloaded thousands of times and the Linux ALSA driver has found favor with a number of OEMs. Meanwhile, the ASIO driver supplied with Merging interfaces was beginning to show its age and lacked some key features. And because Merging Technologies is also celebrating its 30th anniversary, the company announced a major new release of Ovation, the company's orchestration solution for live shows, now offering compatibility with Flux and Dolby as Renderer Partners.

Merging Technologies Launches New Benchmark AKD8D and AKD8DP A/D Cards

Merging Technologies introduced two new cards for its Horus and Hapi range of Networked Audio Interfaces. The new boards are available in two versions. The AKD8D is the standard version giving superlative results up to 192kHz PCM. The AKD8DP extends the range up to 384kHz and includes all variants of DSD up to 256 and DXD. Both boards offer ultra-low distortion and noise floor at low levels whilst reducing latency even more.

Following its first presentation at the CES 2016 in Las Vegas, at the High End 2016 show In Munich Nagra Audio Technology Switzerland introduced the new Classic INT, a new integrated version of Nagra’s Classic Amp, now in production. The Munich presentations also included the Nagra HD Amp Statement power amplifier, and a preview of an expanded Classic line of components, including a Classic Tube Preamp and the new Nagra Classic DAC USB converter with DSD 2X and DXD support.
