Powersoft Expands Footprint in China

A new office in Beijing, bolstered by the appointment of solutions engineer Miao Wang, signal Powersoft’s growing ambitions in the important Chinese market. Wang, who will host the highly anticipated Chinese launch of the UNICA platform at InfoComm China (19–21 July), is the latest hire for Powersoft’s local operation, which recently relocated to the national capital from its previous office in Shenzhen. He will report directly to Abbu Hu, Powersoft’s chief representative officer in China.

Music Tribe, the expat manufacturing and distribution organization created by Uli Behringer in China to assemble all the brands that have resulted from his multiple past acquisitions, has now confirmed the addition of Aston Microphones, a studio microphone brand founded in the United Kingdom. Norwegian company Elliptic Labs has successfully introduced its ultrasound sensing technology to the market, leveraging early agreements with major chip suppliers to the IT and mobile industries. Following partnerships with Texas Instruments, Infineon, Knowles, Cirrus Logic and AAC Technologies, at the implementation level, Elliptic Labs this year expanded its support directly with chipset manufacturers ARM, Intel, Qualcomm and more recently MediaTek.
