GN Hearing Expands Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast Support

Building on the existing ReSound Nexia and Beltone Serene platform, the GN Group announced its smallest wireless In-the-Canal (ITC) hearing aid in a non-rechargeable design, and a new wireless rechargeable CROS Behind-the-Ear (BTE) solution, both of which connect to Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast audio sources. In addition, GN is now offering the world's first remote microphone with Auracast, which also acts as an Auracast Assistant.

Beltone, a brand of the GN Group, announced that its latest Beltone Serene hearing aids are now available. Originally announced in September 2023, these are the first hearing aids supporting Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast available in the market in a full range of styles to suit all hearing needs, including the innovative weatherproof, rechargeable custom design that looks like the user is wearing the most advanced (and cool!) earbuds.

Beltone announced its latest Beltone Serene hearing aids - two non-rechargeable receiver-in-ear (RIE) styles and a brand new microRIE, which is Beltone's tiniest rechargeable hearing aid yet. These new Beltone hearing aids are also Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast ready, and the microRIE adds the convenience of answering calls with just a double-tap on the ear. Additionally, Beltone intends to release a compatible TV-Streamer+ with Auracast.

GN says the new Custom hearing aids are the most advanced rechargeable product available from its brands, restoring natural hearing in a comfortable, Bluetooth-enabled design, available in modern colors. A bridge-product to make hearing-aids closer to consumer TWS earbuds.

GN Hearing unveiled a new product that delivers on the convergence between consumer electronics and audiology solutions. The new ReSound ONE Behind-the-Ear hearing aids combine the best technologies from both fields, in order to provide clarity in sound and convenient hands-free phone and FaceTime calls from iPhone and iPad. The ReSound ONE hearing aids are targeted at those with moderate to severe hearing loss.

And we’re off! Apple started shipping its Apple Watch device to a few lucky million who pre-ordered online. Many of those first-owners are in fact developers who needed to actually have a Watch to test their application ideas. Surprisingly, Apple reached 3,500 available Apple Watch apps on day 1. As expected, some are music and audio oriented.
