Revox Announces B77 MK III Stereo Tape Recorder Alice Cooper Limited Edition

April 14 2025, 00:55
As the Revox Group continues to expand its operations and Revox Klangwerk successfully ramps up manufacturing of the Revox B77 reel-to-reel analog recorder, now manufactured in the company's operations in Villingen, in the south of Germany, the company also anticipated an interesting collaboration during AXPONA 2025. Rock star Alice Cooper and Revox have worked together to develop an exclusive, worldwide limited and signed special edition of the new Revox B77 MK III Stereo Tape Recorder and turntables, which were presented at the Schaumburg, IL audio show.

The new Alice Cooper collaboration with Revox will be promoted at the forthcoming High End show in Munich (May 15-18), but the two limited products were already promoted during AXPONA 2025, the largest hifi audio show in North America. During all three days of the show, the two Revox have seen a constant flow of interested visitors, mostly interested in learning about the new Revox B77 MK III machines, and to learn about the availability of new master reels that the company is putting together with Horch House, now also part of the Revox Group.

And many of those visitors were of course pleased to see the great-looking limited-edition machines with Alice Cooper motifs and signature logo on display. As Revox explains, the aim of the collaboration is to combine the music of Alice Cooper with the new Revox machines, helping to reveal the quality in which it was originally recorded in the studio.

The strictly limited special edition includes only 50 Revox T77 record players and 25 Revox B77 MK III tape machines worldwide, as well as the EP The Sound of A by Alice Cooper on tape or vinyl. The products have each been personally signed and co-designed by Alice Cooper. This exclusive edition is aimed at collectors and music lovers who demand the highest standards of analog sound quality.

“The master tapes sound exactly the same on the tape machines as they did when Alice Cooper recorded them in the studio – unadulterated and with a clarity that only analog sound can offer,” explains Beat Frischknecht, owner of the Revox Group.

To signal the market launch, Alice Cooper presented the special edition in a video, shot in his personal awards room, and documenting the signing and numbering of the devices.

Part of this collaboration is the exclusive Revox T77 Turntable Alice Cooper Limited Edition, which helps to expand vinyl history and sets an example for an analog sound experience. The T77 is a unique item, manufactured in the new Revox factory in Villingen, and with each of the 50 available turntables signed by Alice Cooper himself. Every turntable is also complemented with an exclusive master vinyl of the Alice Cooper EP: The Sound of A, not available anywhere else.
Buyers of the Limited Edition B77 or T77 will also have the possibility to take part in a very exclusive Meet & Greet event with Alice Cooper in person. There will be one event in Munich during the High End show, and another one in the US to be confirmed, at the end of 2025.

To coincide with the launch of the Alice Cooper Limited Edition, the Revox Music Shop and Revox Horch House are also offering the brand new Alice Cooper album “Paranormal” as master tape and as master vinyl.

In recent years, Revox has completely reviewed and significantly improved the world-famous B77 tape machine. Production of the B77 MK III is scheduled to start in May 2025, and worldwide demand already far exceeds production capacity. Sustainability plays a decisive role in that products designed to be durable and can be maintained and repaired even after many years and can be used with other Revox products.
