As reported by audioXpress, German company Revox Klangwerk (or Revox Deutschland) successfully relaunched the Revox B77 reel-to-reel analog recorder, manufactured in the company's operations in Villingen, in the south of Germany - very close to Switzerland. As the Revox rebirth took place, Horch House, a German company founded in 2008, and headed by audio expert Volker Lange, was a natural partner to provide the much-needed fresh content that would immediately appeal to the potential owners.
Reinforcing its analog tape music business, Horch House became a distributor for the newly developed B77 MK III, and offered the renowned Horch House master tape copies to the owners of Revox tape machines. This partnership gradually expanded as Volker Lange actively contributed to the design of the improved B77.
The two companies have now decided to combine their strengths and fully leverage the potential market for very high-quality analog audio products. Horch House offers a growing catalog of very unique masters that are then marketed in 7.5 IPS or 15 IPS 2- or 4-track reel copies. As a Swiss company with its production in Germany, Revox offers analog tape manufacturing capabilities and resources to expand that business, creating a complete range of new analog products.

With the acquisition, Volker Lange (pictured) is going to take over the management of the developing analog division within the Revox Group, and becomes a member of the executive board at Revox.
"We are delighted to further strengthen our analog branch by taking over Horch House. The many Horch House licenses with record labels will allow us to expand our range of analog products, like master tapes. We have already started to produce the Revox Master Tapes in our plant in Villingen, and our plan is to step by step transfer Horch House’s entire production there. I’m also happy to have Volker Lange on board, as he's known to be a very knowledgeable person within the analog music world. Volker Lange has already helped to decide on many of the new features on the B77 MK III. We are going to follow the strategy intensively of not only offering products but also the necessary sound carriers. Many new products are in the planning. In the coming years, we would like to follow our "dual strategy" by further developing our Multiuser System and continuously expanding the analog division," says Christoph Frey, CEO of the Revox Group.

For 70 years, the Revox name has stood for audio products of the highest technical perfection, such as the legendary Revox A77 reel-to-reel tape machine. This tradition continues with a modular, upgradable technology concept and visionary and future-oriented products. Expanding on the origins of the brand, Revox is now a middle-sized company with headquarters in Regensdorf/Switzerland, and operations in Germany, where the Revox factory is located.
