RCF Introduces TT+ Audio as a New Independent Brand

July 14 2023, 00:30
RCF introduced TT+ Audio, a new premium brand in the group, founded on the company's decades of experience designing high-performance sound reinforcement products that provide integrated, reliable solutions for professionals seeking the highest quality in sound reinforcement. The brand's all-encompassing approach to product design, engineering, and tour-tested reliability, is intended to be perceived as a premium solution for touring professionals and high-quality permanent installations.

According to RCF, the new three-dimensional TT+ Audio logo goes beyond traditional designs to become an emblem. "It symbolizes a sporty, robust image, with a sense of symmetry that depicts the endless journey of the company in balancing precision in reproduction, usability, integration, and consistent coverage," RCF states. The first product line displaying the new logo is the high-performance GTX Line Array System.

"When we introduced the TT+ product line in 2006, our vision was to offer professional audio equipment that delivers the highest performance in both Touring and Theatre applications. TT+ has exceeded expectations and established itself as a leader through its innovation and success. It has now demonstrated its potential to evolve into a new and independent premium brand," states RCF's General Manager, Fausto Incerti.

Established in Italy in 1949, based in Reggio Emilia, Italy, RCF is a leading audio technology manufacturer focusing on professional audio equipment, loudspeakers, electronics, DSP, and custom solutions, meeting the most demanding requirements of the audio industry. TT+ Audio now expands the group's proposition in the top level of the sound reinforcement market.

TT+ Audio's philosophy implies absolute control over every aspect of design, engineering, and manufacturing, resulting in products that can withstand the rigors of touring and extreme weather conditions with optimal consistency and interoperability. With networked integration, straightforward cabling, and versatile remote management, TT+ Audio's hardware/software integration ensures consistent and reliable results from one performance to the next.

"For over 70 years, RCF has pioneered audio engineering. With the debut of TT+ Audio, we embark on the next phase of this journey, introducing a dedicated team that will drive the future of sound. The establishment of TT+ Audio marks a new chapter of opportunity for us. We look forward to the road ahead," adds Fausto Incerti.

TT+ Audio GTX Line Array System
TT+ Audio's new GTX Line Array System begins with a forward-thinking external amplifier concept and adds innovations in electronics, transducer design, cabling and rigging hardware. The result is a line array system that addresses the full range of challenges faced by touring sound professionals and large-venue system installers while offering ground-breaking performance and sound quality.

Unlike other TT+ Audio products, the new GTX system separates the power amplification from the loudspeaker enclosure, moving it to newly designed touring racks, each with up to three XPS 16K 4-channel DSP amplifiers and including AC power, signal routing and network connections. One rugged, waterproof power connector provides streamlined cabling from the rack to system modules. This augmented philosophy in power management seamlessly integrates self- and externally-powered TT+ modules via the RDNet management platform for hassle-free management of hybrid systems.

In the best RCF tradition, TT+ Audio's newly developed Precision Transducers incorporate advanced motor structures, multi-layer voice coils, and oversized magnets for high performance and extreme power handling. Proprietary waveguides provide precision coverage for the wide-range compression drivers. The GTS subwoofer, designed for extremely fast acceleration, boasts two 19" cone drivers, each with a safe peak-to-peak piston moving mass excursion of 2.2". The XPS 16K amplifier delivers 16,000 watts of low-distortion continuous power with massive dynamic headroom and features proprietary loudspeaker performance-shaping algorithms.

The new GTX models include the GTX 12 three-way line array module, GTX 10 two-way line array module, and GTS 29 high-performance subwoofer. All enclosures are constructed from waterproof birch plywood and coated with a long-lasting polyurea finish. Optimized rigging hardware offers touring and installation crews fast, efficient setup when suspended or stacked, with anti-rattle locks and a unique captive hinge bar mechanism that slips into position when set in tension or compression mode.

The system RDNet management platform, now in version 5.0, comes with the new design, modeling, and simulation platform Shape D3D. Users can define a 3D representation of a venue and use multiple virtual microphones or check IR-modeled measurements of simulated system response; RDNet then imports data from Shape D3D to generate control and provide full configuration details to the system.

Alessandro Manini, R&D Director of TT+ Audio explains, "Our new GTX Line Array System is the culmination of 70 years of experience providing loudspeaker systems to the world's top sound companies. Our target is to leverage this experience to address the full range of challenges faced by touring sound professionals and large-venue system installers. Starting from a no-compromises philosophy, we spent the last two years testing and refining the GTX System in both indoor and outdoor venues to find the perfect mix of power and sound clarity for all types of events. We are very proud of the final result. It's an audio system that speaks for itself."

As an independent brand within the RCF family, TT+ Audio intends to embody Italian expertise and creativity for the most challenging audio applications combining innovative engineering, tour-proven experience, and a comprehensive approach to product design to set a new benchmark for professional audio systems.
