TP Vision (Philips TV & Sound) unveiled the its premium performance Active Noise Cancellation headphone range for 2020. Using a newly developed advanced Hybrid ANC system which the company says offers superior performance, the new earbuds and headphones use large, high-grade drive units and are all equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 technology for the most reliable connection. The TWS products feature acoustically tuned enclosures to ensure good passive noise isolation and superior sound quality.
The new wireless earbuds and headphones all feature extended battery life throughout the range, dual microphone for crystal clear calls, quick charge via USB-C, and touch and tap controls to play, skip and pause tracks. The Philips Headphones App allows fine sound tuning and access to ANC pre-set modes.
The flagship true wireless earbuds model, Philips T8505 TWS ANC is the top performing, true wireless model from the new Philips audio range, in-part due to the large high-quality, tuned 13mm neodymium drivers, combined with advanced ANC technology – with background Awareness feature. TP Vision says that a great effort has been made to ensure an always comfortable fit in this design, as well as improved passive isolation. The T8505 combines a circular body with angled oval acoustic tubes and a choice of three sizes of interchangeable ear-tips.
The latest Bluetooth 5.0 wireless technology, with Google Fast Pair, makes it easy to automatically find and easily pair with Android devices. The T8505 supports touch or tap controls and alternatively, a push-to-talk facility allows hands-free, voice assistance via either Google Assistant or Siri.
Long battery life guarantees playing time of up to 6 hours (5 hours playtime with ANC continually on) with an additional 18 hours of playtime via the compact wireless charging/carry case. A quick charge is also available via a USB-C charging cable, offering one-hour playback in 15 minutes. A dual microphone solution ensures improved calls and an IR function detects when the ear buds are in-place while a role switch allows either bud to be used on their own in mono. The buds are also splash and sweat proof with a rating of IPX4 for outdoor use.
The new Phillips T5505 TWS ANC earbuds are the performance for better value option, combining premium sound quality and comfort for a mid-market price. It uses the same Advanced ANC system – with background Awareness features – and feature large, high-quality 8mm neodymium speakers, a round acoustic tube and three sizes of interchangeable ear tips to ensure great sound quality, comfort and passive noise isolation.
Additional T5505 features include Bluetooth 5.0 with Google Fast Pair, touch or tap controls, dual built-in microphones for calls, push-to-talk to activate voice assistance via either Google Assistant or Siri, and a battery life of up to 5 hours (4.5 hours playtime with ANC continually on) with an additional 15 hours of playtime via the wireless charging/carry case. A quick charge is also available via a USB-C charging cable, offering one-hour playback in 15 minutes. Also splash and sweat proof with a rating of IPX4.
Finally, the new Philips H9505 Over-ear ANC headphones, are a lightweight and foldable Bluetooth 5 design with a smooth adjustable headband and large soft ear-cup cushions. The H9505 also combines great comfort for long listening sessions with premium noise-cancelling and the potential for high-resolution sound reproduction, all with exceptional value-for-money.
Large high-quality, 40 mm neodymium acoustic drivers offer a detailed, wide band wireless sound with the option of hi-resolution sound quality (HRA accredited 24-bit/96kHz) via the supplied detachable line-in audio cable. While much time and effort was spent on the design of the ear cushions and driver enclosures to ensure excellent passive noise isolation, the H9505 features an advanced ANC system, also offering long battery life, with 20 hours playtime with ANC on – and the option of a quick charge, with a 15 minutes charge-time giving an extra one-hour of use via the supplied USB-C cable.
Ease of use is offered by touch controls with swipe, tap, and press action, Push-to-talk facility for hands-free, voice assistance via either Google Assistant or Siri and easy pairing with Android devices.
