The new Professional Collection of In-Ceiling and Pendant speakers from Origin Acoustics goes above and beyond the existing designs in the market, providing integrator friendly features in unique speaker designs where all details have been carefully engineered.
Each model in the new line is a 2-way loudspeaker with a pivoting silk DPSD (Dual Plane Stabilized Diaphragm) tweeter, utilizing Origin’s patented Multi-Motion Pivoting for superior aiming and dispersion. The new in-ceiling models are available in three sizes, the PC50, PC60, and PC80, all of which are now shipping. The new PCSUB8 Subwoofer with 8" IMMP (multi-motion pivot) Woofer and 200 Watts of power will be available in the second quarter of 2022.
All the new designs are front mounted 8 ohm, 70/100V tap switch models using a premium transformer for added flexibility, combining bass enhancing woofer ports. Installation features include a Phoenix connector and conduit lock, safety strap connection for seismic events, with tile bridge attachments available, and all units being UL rated and safety certified.
Described by the company as, "By far the boldest loudspeaker available at its price point," the new Professional Collection Pendant Speakers from Origin are intended to provide superior bass and dispersion in an ultra-modern enclosure. "The secret is its rear-facing tuned bass radiator, which virtually doubles the cabinet size when it comes to low-end reproduction," Origin explains.
The new line of Origin Pendant Speakers share the same premium transformers and silk DPSD and Multi-Motion Pivoting tweeters as the Commercial Collection, ensuring a smooth, consistent sonic signature for all installs, regardless of style or placement. The new models come standard in black and white, with three woofer/tweeter compliments and one subwoofer. Again, these pendant speakers are front mounted 8 ohm, 70/100V models using premium transformers, and are equipped with Phoenix connectors, industry standard Gripple cable suspensions, and recessed suspension points for installation flexibility. The modern aesthetic styling is reinforced with the unique rear bass-driving passive radiator.
All the new collection pendant speakers are UL rated and safety certified. The range includes three sizes and models, the PP50, PP60 and PP80. A new Pendant PPSUB8 Subwoofer with an 8" IMPP woofer, 8 Ohm or 70V (120W-15W) and 200 Watts of power is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2022.
