Mimi Hearing Technologies, the sound personalization technology specialist company from Berlin, announced they are now supporting Analog Devices solutions to enable breakthroughs in audio signal processing purely on-device. Already experienced in a number of audio platforms for consumer electronics, Mimi is now delivering sound personalization solutions in product designs using Analog Device's ADAU1860 audio platform.
With the Mimi Hearing Test app being used by more than three million people to perform hearing tests in more than 150 countries, the German company can claim one of the world's largest database of digital hearing profiles. Based on that knowledge, and applying an algorithm born out of years of hearing science research that replicates the way the human ear works, Mimi adapts the audio signal in real time to unmask only the frequencies that the user is not able to hear. This way, Mimi Sound Personalization solves problems an EQ cannot, by creating personalized sound profiles that enhance audio content across various platforms.
Expanding on its mission to deliver richer and more immersive sound experiences using its advanced audio signal processing techniques, Mimi is now leveraging the power of Analog Devices expertise and heritage in audio technologies, starting by supporting the existing low-power ADAU1860 audio platform, with three inputs and two DSPs for demanding designs, and upcoming updated platforms. This enables Mimi to extend its sound personalization technology to more headphone companies, empowering more brands and manufacturers to deliver customized audio experiences.
"We are pleased to work with Analog Devices to expand the reach of our sound personalization technology," says Florian Schneidmadel, CEO at Mimi Hearing Technologies. "By integrating Mimi's innovative technology with Analog Devices' cutting-edge solutions, we can bring personalized audio experiences to a broader audience, enabling more people to enjoy sound in a way that suits their unique hearing abilities."
"Analog Devices' consumer technology is at the heart of the most immersive audio solutions today," says Matthew Tyler, Managing Director, Consumer Business Unit at Analog Devices. "We are delighted to combine Mimi's sound personalization solutions with Analog Devices' latest high fidelity, low latency audio processors to bring additional value to our customers and create richer, more personalized consumer experiences to enhance our daily lives."
"This work between Mimi Hearing Technologies and Analog Devices represents another significant step forward in the consumer audio industry. By bringing sound personalization to more clients, both companies aim to transform the way people engage with audio content, helping to ensure that more people can enjoy the benefits of customized sound experiences," the company adds.
