Lavoce Unveils New High-Output Woofers for Multi-Way Systems

January 2 2024, 02:10
Lavoce Italiana, the transducer company with a heritage of over 35 years designing and manufacturing high performance HF and LF loudspeaker transducers is starting 2024 in full force with several new speaker drivers expanding its already considerable professional audio and MI catalog. Unveiled just before ISE 2024, where they will make their debut, are three new Lavoce high-output woofers in 8", 13.5" and 15" sizes.
The new Lavoce WAN082.02 (Neo 8" - pictured above), WAN143.00 (Neo 13.5") and WAF153.03 (Ferrite 15") are all high-output woofers using aluminum baskets that have been developed using Lavoce's proprietary low frequency Loudspeaker Design Suite which combines various aspects of design (Lumped Parameters, Electromagnetic, Suspension, Vibroacoustic and Thermal) into one simulation model. Each of these high-output woofers have been optimized to exhibit a smooth frequency response and low distortion and are perfect solutions for premium projects that require a high-energy performance, particularly for high-performance multi-way systems.

The new WAN082.02 is a neodymium high-output 8" with a 400W Program power rating, 2" copper voice coil, 96.5dB sensitivity, 5.8mm Xmax and a frequency range of 80-5000Hz. Other key features include a copper ring for extended frequency response and a waterproof treatment on the front side of the cone.
The larger WAN143.00 (photo above) is a neodymium high-output 13.5" with a 700W Program power handling, 3" copper voice coil, 100dB sensitivity, 7.5mm Xmax and a frequency range extending 45-3000Hz. Other key features include magnetic shielding due to its neo slug magnet design and a waterproof treatment on the front side of the cone.

Finally, the WAF153.03 (seen below) is a ferrite high-output 15" alternative for the company's catalog, adding a more rated for 1000W Program power handling, 3" copper voice coil, 100.5dB sensitivity, 6.7mm Xmax and a frequency range covering 40-3000Hz. Other key features include an aluminum demodulating ring for reduced distortion and a waterproof treatment on the front side of the cone.

"We are already known for our robust and well-engineered range of woofers and subwoofers, and these new high-output models give our esteemed OEM manufacturer, distributor and sound system partners more inspired solutions for the most demanding of applications," says Kevin Shove, Lavoce's International Sales Director.

All these new woofers will be presented at NAMM 2024 in Anaheim, and ISE 2024 in Barcelona, together with the recently announced new CSF Range coaxials and new neodymium compression drivers.
