Lavoce Adds 10" and 12" Models to CSF Common HF/LF Magnet Coaxial Range

June 14 2023, 00:35
Lavoce Italiana arrived at InfoComm 2023 with redoubled energy, following the opening if its US logistical center in Nashville, TN. For the Orlando show, Lavoce announced the addition of 10" and 12" models to their CSF range of Common HF/LF Magnet Coaxials, models CSF102.50K and CSF122.50K. As Pierpaolo De Minicis, Pro Audio Division Manager, comments, this successful coaxial range is right at the core of Lavoce's highest value market proposition.

Lavoce’s CSF range is designed to offer premium point-source solutions with a price-competitive edge, with each model employing a precision crafted Common ‘optimized flux’ ferrite magnet and a robust steel basket. All Common magnet coaxials from Lavoce bring the LF and HF voice coils in closer unification than traditional coaxial designs, to better combine their acoustic centers for improved coherency, dispersion, and alignment optimization.

By using the same common motor structure for the CSF102.50K (10") and CSF122.50K (12"), both units have an impressive 300W AES power handling and 97dB sensitivity for the LF, and 60W AES power handling and 105dB sensitivity for the HF. The LF woofer uses a 2.5" edgewound copper-clad aluminum voice coil on a glass fiber former and the polyimide diaphragm and surround for the HF uses a 1.75" edgewound copper-clad aluminum voice coil on a Kapton former. CSF102.50K offers 65-20000Hz frequency response with 70° nominal coverage, and CSF122.50K offers a 45Hz-20kHz frequency response with 70° nominal coverage, and the addition of double demodulating rings lowers harmonics and intermodulation distortion.

The CSF102.50K and CSF122.50K compliment the existing 6.5" and 8" models, CSF061.70K and CSF082.00K, and are all intended for compact 2-way or 3-way point source solutions. There will be a 15" model arriving later in 2023, which can also be used for a stage monitor application.

"We are really proud of the research capabilities of our Italian R&D team and the development and understanding they have achieved with complex professional audio coaxial devices. After the introduction of our high performance coaxial series CAN with neodymium common HF/LF magnet, now we are in the position to release the new CSF range, delivering a perfect balance of premium performance and price competitiveness, and we are already astonished with the amount of interest we have received for these ranges so far," adds Pierpaolo De Minicis.
