Integrated Systems Europe to Debut in Barcelona, May 10-13, 2022

April 18 2022, 01:10
The world’s leading systems integration exhibition will finally take place on May 10-13, 2022 at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Vía. Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2022 said goodbye to Amsterdam in 2020 and returns now as an expanded showcase of technology and solutions for the professional systems integration channel. Following the cancellation of the 2021 edition and postponement of the 2022 event from February to May, the trade-show will finally return in full force.

Integrated Systems Europe 2022 (May 10-13) will finally be able to show what it will be like in the future, now that it will take place in Barcelona. The show map is already looking very strong, with new exhibiting companies joining every day, including everyone in professional audio, installation, and residential integration, where audio is just one of the many components in corporate, commercial and residential integration. Apparently, the decision to delay the show from the scheduled date in February to May, has paid off big time.

ISE 2022 is promoted by Integrated Systems Events, in a joint-venture that includes InfoComm (AVIXA), and CEDIA. But now that the show has moved to Barcelona, the gigantic complex of the Fira de Barcelona will also be filled with other organizations related with systems integration, from luxury yachts to security, office furniture, and digital signage. Fortunately, most audio companies are located conveniently mainly in two of the halls (which are larger than those at the Amsterdam RAI complex, and with plenty of room to grow in the future).

Even though ISE 2022 will represent approximately half the area that Mobile World Congress used to take in the same Fira space, ISE has everything to make it a very strong trade show in the future. And that’s even with visitors from the North and Eastern regions of Europe not likely to attend this year.

The organization is also trying to make the best possible use of the available space, combining a comprehensive conference with world class keynotes, projection mapping presentations, and immersive installations demonstrating the power of modern presentation and show technology to create memorable experiences.

There's also a world of events happening all over Barcelona, an impressive effort from the city council to signal the first ISE show taking place there and a why to familiarize many visitors with the region and the culture. And being a strong hub for many Spanish companies in audio and video rentals and production, Barcelona will also host special promotional areas for the local companies, which also include some audio manufacturers of sound reinforcement systems.

With plans for a show over five halls, safety and security in light of the COVID pandemic remains of utmost importance to the show organizers. Mandatory wearing of face masks, social distancing, and provision of enhanced sanitization measures are in place throughout the venue. Updates and information about testing facilities and emergency facilities are provided here.

As always, ISE will provide a unique showcase of technologies and solutions for commercial and residential applications, with many conference sessions promoted by the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association (AVIXA), producer of InfoComm trade shows around the world, and co-owner of Integrated Systems Europe, as well as CEDIA, the global trade association for home technology integration, also a co-owner of Integrated Systems Europe.

To facilitate life for business at ISE 2022, the Fira de Barcelona is divided into Technology Zones. These locations group together exhibitors in major technology areas, making it easier for attendees to find and compare the solutions they are looking for, and saving them time.

The Technology Zones are:
Audio (Hall 7)
Digital Signage & DooH (Hall 6)
Multi-Technology (Halls 3 & 5)
Lighting & Staging (Hall 7)
Residential & Smart Building (Hall 2)
Unified Communications & Education Technology (Hall 2)

Halls 3 and 5 contain ISE’s flagship exhibitors, plus companies whose multi-technology offerings do not fall easily into a single Technology Zone. The Audio hall will include manufacturers of microphones, amplifiers, loudspeaker systems, and signal processing and distribution. The Residential & Smart Building hall will gather all CEDIA-space companies, expanded with many companies active in systems for workplaces and public buildings.

Although they serve two separate markets, technologies used in unified communications and in education technology – including video communications, interactive flatpanel displays and content sharing tools – overlap between them and with almost all areas of the show. For that reason, the promoters have decided to combine two previously separate zones into the Unified Communications & Education Technology Zone. Here, visitors will find all solutions in those areas, including the new companies now supporting the work-for-home and work-from-anywhere, which promise to be the most exciting topics at the show.
